Opening night was pretty darn funny. On dress rehearsal, the tiniest girl of the cast... weighs about 80lbs~... sat on a previously broken chair that had been re-glued and the thing collapsedbeneath her.. and that was a highlight!
Last night was better, but we are taking so many ad lib liberties with Neil Simon's work (inadvertently, of course!) that as Tina's boyfriend said, "It's like a different show every night!" Manolo and Jesus getting tickled on stage was like watching an episode of Carol Burnett show when Harvey Korman would be laughing so much they'd all join in.
We had some interference from cb radios driving by, the curtain got a bit hung up, we had our share of "deer in the headlights" looks, but it was a blast and I do love that cast...
Now we'll do it again tonight! Cheers!
