Drivin' Around, and Feelin' Groovy

Get in your car tomorrow and take a leisurely drive to admire the beauty that is "Spring in Hartsville". One of my favorite streets, College Avenue, is particularly beautiful this time of year. And fans of wisteria, there are some gorgeous mounds of it on 14th Street Extension...they smell so delicious that I have to roll my windows down each time I drive past them!

My tongue-in-cheek protest against the "banner ordinance" has grown into something a bit more than I bargained for... so, Mr. Rodney Tucker, please accept my apology for naming you on my latest hvtd.com soapbox rant. You were only doing your job, and although I still think the ordinance should exclude our church, I apologize if I caused you to think that all Hartsvillians are as quick to be ... well... not at all cooperative. We are a nice bunch, and as a Northern transplant, I promise you that you and your family will enjoy living in this lovely city.

Just don't mess with our churches.

(and that was said with a smile)

Ahem!

Back to my suggestion to drive around leisurely:

"Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.

Dogwoods on College Avenue.

Just driving down through College Ave.

Dogwoods on College Ave. 2

Dogwood trees and feelin' groovy.

Hey 14th Street,
What cha knowing?

Wisteria on 14th Street Extension

Drivin’ to watch your flowers growing.
Wisteria blooms for me…

Wisteria on 14th Street Ext. 2

Doot-in' doo-doo,
Feelin' groovy."

Goodness, I love the spring season down here!

Banner Girl

Put a banner on your car, honey....and drive up and down Home Avenue!

Great Idea

the mobile signs are one way they get around this type of thing in the bigger cities. I think SS might be a marketer.

Build your community by being involved!

Close

A little more advanced than that Puffer, but on the right track!

The point is, hang your banners, Jana!
