Most Romantic Dates EVER
Okay, Hartsvillians, show us your heart....
Tell us your favorite date! What date was the most memorable, the one that you think back on fondly, the one that you will tell your grandchildren...or already do?
I'll tell you one of mine:
Years ago, I had a boyfriend that packed a picnic lunch with everything from appetizers, salads, and strawberries and whipped cream dessert. We drove to Portland Head Light and had a romantic dinner in the sunset in full view of the light house. It didn’t matter that the ground was damp, and that the seagulls were loudly “asking” for our dinner, the date was lovely and one of my favorite memories.
Okay, Hartsville, tell us YOUR stories!
DATE ????
What is a date? I did not think anyone did that in Hartsville!
This place is the "land of the lost" for singles!
Basically, my dates are with the tv set or a vodka bottle.
A Valentine to remember... or forget!!!
Okay, Jana, here's a "heart"breaker for ya.
Many, many years after my divorce, I decided to be brave and begin dating again. My guy and I made great plans for a Valentine's Day celebration. As the day approached, I prepared a tasty menu, and chose the wine. As fate may have it, on the morning of the big day, I developed a virus that left me dehydrated. So, unfortunately, my significant other and I spent Valentine's night in the emergency room with an IV stuck in my arm! What fun!!
Well...
It appears that ROMANCE does not cross the Pee Dee Region.
Is there anyone out there with a romantic story, or want to tell one about their grandparents, parents, their own wedding proposals, etc.?
I am sorry, David's Florist, Cheryl's Flowers, and Mitchell's...and Freeman and Sons and Madison Avenue...it appears that unless Cupid dusts off his wings that you may have a quiet week on your hands.
Sad
I may need an IV in my arm after reading these boring and pathetic things...pitiful!
I think you all need to get out of town more!
COME ON PEOPLE -- LIVEN THIS POST UP FOR JANA!
My best Valentine's Day date was in Paris, while on business. I shall leave out the details, as they may be a bit "blue" for this family-oriented site.
(I may post the details on that other site, however, since it is anything goes apparently -- I just do not have a video or website to offer, as "Tiger", "Stoned" and the rest seem to have -- see the member list for more information!)
I believe that my best
I believe that my best Valentine's Date is yet to come. And soon! Currently, I am in the dreaded long-distance relationship. Which is not so horrible. We manage. He's in Texas being a soldier and I'm here doing...(well, not much sounds good compared to being a US Army Medic, hero, and all around good guy...so I'm just here.) But he's wonderful. But, all that is beside the point.
My best date ever will be this year. He's coming home for Valentine's Day and to come to the Hartsville Community Players Dinner Theater. With our relationship, his just being here will be the most romantic time ever. After all his time overseas and out of state, every day that we can spend together is perfect.
Call me a sap, but romance isn't dead, it's just been overlooked.
MY TURN!
WELL MINE DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO SANDYS DATE. MINE REALY WASN'T A DATE BUT A SUPRISE RATHER. WHICH IS MUCH BETTER TO ME THAN ANY DATE. LAST YEAR I CAME HOME FROM WORK JUST KNOWING THAT I WASN'T GETTING ANYTHING BECAUSE I KNEW THAT MY HUSBAND WOULDN'T REMEMBER THIS SACRED HOLIDAY. WELL TO MY SUPRISE WHEN I WALKED IN THE DOOR HE HAD ME A CUTE LITTLE STUFFED TEDDY BEAR SITTING ON THE COUNTER FOR ME. I WAS SO SUPRISED. THEN I COOKED US A NICE DINNER AND WE ACTUALLY SAT DOWN TOGETHER AT OUR TABLE (WHICH WE NEVER DO) AND ATE DINNER. THE BEST PART IS WE SAT THERE TOGETHER TALKING AND FINISHED A WHOLE BOTTLE OF WINE JUST ENJOYING EACH OTHER'S COMPANY. IT WAS UNFORGETTABLE!
